World Series Renault - Hungaroring, Hungary
Robert tops test sessions. P3 in Super Pole
July 5, 2008 - Robert has been atop the charts since practice began on Thursday at the Hungaroring for the next rounds of the World Series by Renault. Coming off podium results the past two race meetings, Robert is feeling good about the current progression of the season.

Other than a small hiccup on Friday morning when the team tested some gearbox adjustments, Robert was P2 through practice sessions and would also set some of the fastest sector times. In qualifying this morning, he would lead his qualifying group and make it into the Super Pole session for this afternoon's race. Robert would go P3 in Super Pole qualifying.

The first race of the weekend goes on Saturday morning with race two on Sunday. We will have results as soon as they are available.

F3 Euro - Norisring, Germany:
Podium for Robert (P2) on Sunday
Points in both races this weekend

June 29, 2008 - Robert was in Germany this weekend racing on the Norisring street circuit in the F3 Euro Series. The street course suited Robert's driving style and despite qualifying 15th for Saturday's race, he would make his way through the field to finish 7th. To put some perspective on the 15th stating position, competition is very close and Robert was just 2/10ths back of the second row. Robert scored points on Saturday (points go to the top eight) and this would garner him a front-row start on Sunday (top eight are inverted for Sunday's grid).

The race had it's share of accidents early and there was a 22-minute delay to repair cars and get them back on track. When the race resumed Robert held his P2 position to the end when another accident brought out the red flag to end the race.

Robert now heads to Hungary for the next round in the World Series By Renault at the Hungaroring on July 5th.

World Series Renault FR3.5 Race 4 – Silverstone
Robert wins Super Pole ... takes his first series win on Sunday
June 08, 2008 - Despite suffering numerous setbacks over the first three rounds, Robert kept his focus and this weekend at Silverstone, the nineteen-year-old would finally get the result he has hoped for. Robert has always been quick in collective testing for the series and has qualified well but until this weekend, he has been taken out of every race due to an accident. Small consolation that those who caused the accidents were later penalized as Robert was kept out of the points and off the podium.

This weekend however, in front of some of his friends from the A1GP Team Canada crew, Robert put in a brilliant performance to take the super pole on Friday by setting consistent lap times. Ironically, winning super pole means he would start from the seventh position for the race on Saturday. He would then start Sunday's race from the front row.

By all accounts, Robert had a very strong run and a healthy lead on Sunday. He would enter the pits for his final stop with a good lead and in a virtual drag race out of the pit exit, he would hold position over P2 and take the checkers, fending off any challenges over the final ten laps.

There are post-race reports and comments from Robert on the team web site: www.carlin.co.uk and www.Renault-sport.com. There is also an update on the Red Bull Junior Team web site.

So far the only comment we have from Robert is, "Where the heck is my web guy! I finally have a great weekend and he's off at some race in Watkins Glen."

Our apologies to all of Robert's fans who check the site for info, but yes, we were a little busy and just hitting the pillow as Robert was hitting the track. But we'll be on our toes in three weeks for F3 at the Norisring!
