Robert's Bio
Since launching himself into the world of open-wheel racing in 2005 at just sixteen years of age, Robert has enjoyed much success with his dedication, perseverance and focus earning him both recognition and admiration.

Awarded a Junior Scholarship from BMW, Robert entered the Formula BMW USA Championship in 2005 and with his team, put in some outstanding races scoring four podiums including two wins over fourteen races. Over the course of the Championship Robert finished in the top ten in all of his races. That year Robert won the Formula BMW segment of the Race of Champions in Paris, France and later attend the Formula BMW World Final in Bahrain. Starting at the back of the pack for each heat in the World Final, Robert passed an unprecedented 62 cars over the races and finals in his bid to win the championship. After starting the final race 27th, Robert came away from the World Final 6th having secured the support of Red Bull along the way.

As a Red Bull Junior Team driver in 2006, Robert went on to win the Formula BMW USA Championship with an impressive seven podium results imcluding two race wins. Robert also competed successfully in select races with the Red Bull Junior Team in Europe during this time.

2007 saw Robert at the wheel of the Red Bull-Forsythe Racing Champ Car Atlantic. Robert started the season imposingly with a pole and podium (P2) in his very first race in the series. Another podium at the next race and two more in the season, including a win in Portland and Robert was on his way to finish third overall in the series championship. Robert amassed eight top-five results and never finished outside the top ten over the twelve race series.

In the fall of 2007, Robert again travelled to Europe to compete in the World Series by Renault. Over two events, Robert scored points in two races with top-ten results. Robert embarks on the full series in 2008 with Carlin Motorsport and Red Bull.

The winter of 2007 brought some new challenges and excitement for Robert. First off he was selected by Red Bull Racing to perform demonstrations in the Red Bull Formula One race car in Mexico and Singapore in front of tens-of-thousands of race fans. This also provided the opportunity to work in the team’s Formula One simulators at their factory in Milton-Keynes, UK.

Next, after a series of sessions as the designated rookie with A1 Team Canada in the A1GP World Series, Robert made the move up to contest as the team’s primary driver. He impressed both the media and his competitors with his skill and determination and took five podium results in just seven races including a pole and win in South Africa. Robert then made his name as rain master in Australia when he stormed from fifteenth on the grid to finish P3 ... on slick tires on a rain-soaked circuit.

Robert is now focusing his efforts on the 2008 World Series by Renault and is looking forward to the opportunities for 2009 and beyond.
